COVID-19 Policy

As an adolescent essential health care facility that’s open 24/7, Compass Farmhouse recognizes the importance of maintaining the health and safety of our staff and residents to minimize the spread of any infectious diseases, including Covid-19. Our team takes proper measures to abide by the safety regulations provided by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information to guide our policies and procedures.

Facility Requirements
Our staff professionally cleans our facility multiple times per day, making sure to sanitize all high-contact surfaces with EPA-recommended antibacterial disinfectants approved for use against emerging viral pathogens. We also emphasize hand hygiene protocols as sanctioned by the CDC, including wearing gloves, handwashing and use of hand sanitizer by both staff and residents consistently throughout shift.

Staff Requirements
Almost all of Compass’s staff are fully vaccinated with a booster against Covid-19. Any employees who are not vaccinated are required to wear a cloth face covering or mask over the nose and mouth when around staff, guests, and residents.

Staff are encouraged to stay home if they exhibit any symptoms or sickness related to Covid-19. Staff are required to report if they believe they may have been exposed to Covid-19 and are not permitted to come to work until they have reported this information and received guidance and/or clearance to return to the office by management. Should a staff member report potential exposure or positive result, all staff members and residents will be required to take an on-site Covid-19 test and wear a mask for 10 days following potential exposure.

Resident Requirements
Residents are required to complete a CDC approved health screening and temperature check during admission and are tested on-site prior to entering the facility. 

Guest Requirements
Guests who visit our facility must present proof of vaccination and booster in order to avoid our mask requirement. Those who are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated will be tested on-site prior to entry, and upon a negative result may enter with a mask on. All guests who visit our facility are required to complete a CDC approved health screening and temperature check prior to entering the residence.
