Transform Lives with Your Contribution
Why Your Support Matters
At Compass, we specialize in treating adolescents with complex, often life-threatening mental health challenges, including active eating disorders and suicidal behaviors. Many of our patients are “difficult to place” and have been turned away by other facilities. Thanks to our innovative approach and compassionate care, we are uniquely equipped to provide the support they desperately need.
Your contributions enable us to:
- Conduct pioneering research on identity dysregulation and teen suicide.
- Deliver life-saving care to individuals from under-served and marginalized communities.
- Train mental health professionals in evidence-based practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
How Your Donation Helps
1. Advancing Groundbreaking Research
Since 2014, Compass Behavioral Health has been a leader in mental health research. Your generosity directly supports:
- An IRB-approved study on teen suicide and identity dysregulation in collaboration with Duke University (publication under review).
- Presentations at the Yale-NEABPD Conference on our innovative residential treatment outcomes.
- A new 12-session family therapy model in partnership with Loma Linda University, addressing emotional and identity dysregulation in adolescents.
These studies are shaping the future of mental health care, providing solutions that save lives and empower families.
2. Providing Life-Saving Care
We offer a continuum of care designed to meet the needs of adolescents and their families, including:
- Residential Treatment for teens with severe mental health and eating disorders.
- Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for continued recovery.
- Outpatient DBT Programs for individuals aged 8–24 years.
What Sets Us Apart:
- We treat adolescents with co-occurring suicidal behaviors and eating disorders, a population often excluded from other programs.
- Our 1:1 care ensures personalized attention and safety for every patient.
- Institutions like Harvard’s McLean Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and Montefiore Medical Center refer complex and acute cases to us.
3. Training the Next Generation of Experts
As a leader in mental health education, Compass Behavioral Health collaborates with top universities to train emerging professionals, including:
- Columbia School of Social Work
- UCI Psychiatry & Human Behavior
- Cal State Universities and others.
We also offer clinical rotations, DBT practicums, and hands-on training to prepare professionals for the challenges of mental health care. Our team includes the largest number of DBT-LBC Certified Clinicians in the state.
