Research shows SPACE is as effective as individual cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)\, making it a vital tool for expanding your clinical practice.\nMore Event Info \n\nLearning Objectives\n\nExplain three key differences in how anxiety manifests in children compared to adults\nDescribe empirical evidence supporting the efficacy of SPACE and identify three limitations of this evidence\nIdentify and describe the eight main components of the SPACE treatment\nFormulate at least three supportive parental responses to typical child anxiety\nIdentify the 6 key questions to address when helping parents develop specific plans to reduce their parental accommodations of child anxiety\, OCD and related disorders\nIdentify three potential barriers to treatment and how to manage them\n\n\nAbout the Instructor\nRebecca Etkin\, PhD (#004113)\, is a licensed clinical psychologist and postdoctoral associate at the Yale Child Study Center in the Anxiety & Mood Disorders Program. Rebecca received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University in 2010 and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from University at Buffalo\, The State University of New York in 2019. Her research seeks to understand the linkages between child and adolescent internalizing problems and parent-child and peer relationships\, with a focus on anxiety and related disorders. She has been a SPACE provider and trainer for over 5 years and has delivered SPACE and other evidence-based anxiety treatments to over 100 youth and their families. \n\nRegistration\nPlease REGISTER before paying for this training \n***This workshop is designed for clinicians interested in delivering SPACE in their practice.
